About the products

Our polyester nonwoven carriers under the RUNO trademark reflect more than twenty years of expertise in nonwoven and bituminous membranes production. This deep experience, combined with our commitment to quality, ensures high performance and long-term reliability.

Today, we manufacture several types of polyester carriers designed to meet the requirements of most applications in the bituminous membranes industry.

Classic technology based on processing polyester staple fibers allows us to create cost-efficient products with the option to redistribute mechanical properties between the MD and CD directions.

Spunbond technology, in contrast, allows to make felt from extruded endless filaments. This method results in carriers with higher tensile strength and improved elasticity of the final product.


Made of
recycled plastic

The key raw material for polyester nonwovens is PET bottle flakes. The flakes are produced at our modern recycling facility that is located nearby and adheres to strict environmental norms. The use of recycled plastics reduces both the waste that goes to landfills and CO2 emissions.

We are proud to have 15000 tones of PET recycled annually.

Runo ECO

RUNO ECO is produced of a specially engineered polyester staple (short) fibers that are mechanically, thermally, and chemically bonded, and reinforced with longitudinal glass filaments. This technology ensures excellent dimensional stability and an optimal balance of tensile strength, elasticity, and stiffness.

Today, more than 70% of our RUNO ECO production is successfully supplied to the European market. Our 20-year experience and continuous focus on the consumer needs allow us to offer broad customization options with the shortest lead times.

Runo SPR

RUNO SPR represents the latest generation of RUNO polyester nonwoven products. This high-performance spunbond felt is manufactured at a state-of-the-art facility developed through modern scientific, engineering, and technological knowledge integration.

The production process includes web forming, needle punching, glass filaments reinforcement, thermosetting, impregnation, and drying. The technical parameters listed below can be tailored according to the customer requirements.

Runo SP

RUNO SP is a non-reinforced polyester spunbond felt designed for bituminous membranes that do not require longitudinal glass filaments. The material is produced using the same technological stages as RUNO SPR – including web forming, needle punching, thermosetting, impregnation, and drying – except for the glass filament insertion step.

Due to the intrinsic properties of non-reinforced spunbond structures, RUNO SP offers higher specific strength and delivers performance features that make it particularly suitable for membrane types where a standard, non-reinforced carrier is preferred.

Thanks to the vertically integrated manufacturing chain, indoor raw materials, separately equipped laboratories allowing precise quality control at each technological stage, we produce RUNO nonwovens according to the highest international standards. Our quarter-century experience in bituminous membranes production enables us to perform continuous testing and clearly understand the needs and challenges our customers may encounter.
